Charnwood Reservoirs Catchment Project

One area of particular note was the Charnwood Reservoirs Catchment Project.  This partnership between Severn Trent Water, the Environment Agency, Natural England, the Farming & Wildlife Advisory Group, DEFRA and Leicestshire & Rutland Wildlife Trust, has spoken to almost 66% of the landowners around the reservoirs, encouraging several of them to take up Environmental Stewardship which will help to reverse the declining condition of the three SSSI’s in this area.
