Biological Assessments Services
Biological assessments assist in the development process to help identify environmental sensitivities and to develop mitigative measures. Under the direction of a Professional Biologist, Ecoventure offers biological assessment services for a wide range of projects including Ecological Network Reports, Environmental Screening Reports, Natural Site Assessments, Species Biodiversity Reports (including songbird/waterfowl surveys and incidental invertebrate surveys), Ecological Land Classification and Community Typing, Vegetation Community Description and Rare Plants Surveys, Invasive Species Surveys and Management Plans, and Environmental Field Reports/ Enhanced Approval Process. The completion of baseline surveys and implementation of mitigative measures are key steps in sustainable development, and ensure that regulations regarding invasive and sensitive species are followed.
Regulations are constantly changing in regards to wetlands and water bodies. Ecoventure is able to navigate through the regulatory processes with experience in the completion of Water Body Assessments, Aquatic Assessments, Navigable Waters Assessments, and Wetland Compensation/Restoration and Water Act Approvals. These assessments and applications are required to ensure that developments are properly approved and completed in compliance with provincial and federal legislation.
Ecoventure has also achieved Wildlife Habitat Council Certification for several clients, a process that recognizes a company’s commitment to progressive environmental policy through biological assessment and conservation, habitat enhancement, and employee participation.
