Biological Treatment Services
eep Green has extensive expertise in on-site biological treatment on the grounds of the former Clabecq forges. 2 types of biological treatment were selected:
1. Biocomposting
Pre-mix with compost so as to provide structure and nutrients (N, P) in a ratio of around 20 to 30% (by mass).
In some cases, nitrogen (ammonium salts or urea) and phosphorus (fertilizer) may be added during the treatment.
Swath height: Maximum 3 meters to avoid compaction.
Advantages : easy to use, no gas treatment
Disadvantages : Addition of compost + regular turning over
2. Biopile
Treatment with windrow and air injection and extraction system and gas treatment due to a central point for collecting the gases leaving the process.
Can be conceived as part of a more global treatment where the uncovered area would be reduced.
