With over 50 years experience in plastics as part of the Feddersen Group, we offer customer-focused service, consultation services and a professional sales and distribution network. We are specialists in biodegradable and biobased plastics and offer a broad portfolio of biodegradable and biobased compounds. We can access the entire bioplastics market with our global purchasing organisation. We can also offer global order processing and logistics expertise. Our state-of-the-art compounding and laboratory facilities can assist with all your application development and technical needs, and we can also offer you on-site biopolymer training at your facilities. We can help you choose and develop bioplastics to suit the demands of your particular application.
The goal of our research and development work is to incorporate trends and new ideas to best satisfy your needs. We combine the latest developments from the markets with decades-long experience to create innovative products. We work closely with our partners in the other Feddersen Group divisions, which adds value for our customers. We operate four production sites on three continents with access to all major sales markets.
BIO-FED’s experienced technical staff have many years of experience in the plastics and bioplastics industries. BIO-FED uses the laboratories and equipment of AKRO-PLASTIC and AF-COLOR in Niederzissen, Germany. AKRO-PLASTIC and its branches BIO-FED and AF-COLOR are certified according to the DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 standard (Quality Management System) as well as to ISO 50001:2018 (Energy Management System). In addition, the companies each have an Integrated Management System.
We offer state-of-the-art compounding and laboratory facilities through AKRO-PLASTIC. This enables us to ensure global batch consistency, provide highest quality and ensure we use first-class raw materials for our M·VERA® products. We can also provide customised technical solutions for the development of individual recipes for our customers. The laboratory of AKRO-PLASTIC is accredited by the German Accreditation Council in accordance with DIN EN ISO 17025. Other relevant test methods for biocompounds are available at AF-COLOR.
