Bird Nets are an effective bird deterrent providing a discreet and impenetrable barrier that protects the premises without harming the birds. Eco's Bird Net system is one of the most effective and long lasting ways of bird proofing buildings and other structures against all urban bird species. Our anti bird netting is particularly effective for large open areas such as roofs and loading bays as one anti bird net can be used to protect many perching places, Bird Netting is often the most cost effective solution. The anti bird net system provides an impenetrable barrier that protects buildings without harming the birds.
The bird mesh netting consists of a stainless steel perimeter straining cable, which is normally supported by stainless steel fixings drilled into the structure at regular centres. Our netting contractors then tension the cable using a high quality grade 316 stainless steel barrel strainer and securely attached the bird nets with stainless steel hog rings.
The anti bird nets are constructed from high density ultra-violet stabilised knotted 12/6 polyethylene which is chemically inert and rot proof in addition to offering a high resistance to a wide range of chemical and environmental conditions. The bird netting ranges from 19mm gauge to deny the smallest pest birds entry, rising to 50mm gauge and 75mm gauge to seal off areas from pigeons and seagulls respectively. Colours can vary but generally black, stone and white Bird Nets are available as standard.
Our new Nano Coating for bird mesh netting prevents moisture and UV rays from attacking the material and more importantly raises the freezing temperature of water preventing snow and ice from building up on the bird nets' surface which in worse case scenarios can lead to net damage and collapse.
As bird netting suppliers, Eco Environmental offer a whole range of different bird netting systems, including pigeon netting. Our bird nets can be installed stand alone or as part of a greater bird detterent solution.
All installations of our Bird Nets are guaranteed for up to 10 years.
The presence of feral pigeons called for an effective bird deterrent system including bird netting, bird mesh, fouling cleaning and rope access.
We were contacted by our client to resolve an issue with feral pigeons perching on the water regulator in South Yorkshire, which was causing a fouling hazard to engineers working on the structure.
There were also issues with damaged sections of concrete on the support legs and gaps under the main platform where pigeons were perching which was proving troublesome to...

Pigeon deterrents, such as anti-bird netting, were installed at this power substation after nesting pigeons created a dangerous fouling problem.
Pigeons were fouling the compound and nesting in the cooler fan blades. There was the potential for fan failure or high speed ejection of fouling, sticks or other material, which could injure the station’s workers and cause great damage to the equipment.
Eco Environmental were instructed to work within the shut down constraints imposed in order to clean and...

As the pigeons had been perching and nesting within the bell tower for many years, the site had become a high pressure roosting area,...

As autumn begins to draw closer you will have noticed that Seagull Breeding Season is over for this year.
Strong anti-gull sentiment intensified over the summer when the gulls were associated with attacks on humans, including pensioners and young children. "Killer gulls" were blamed for the death of a Chihuahua dog in May, and a tortoise in August.
All that remains are the sore sighted empty nests, chick fouling and associated debris that can have a negative impact on the gutters and roofs of your buildings and...

Birmingham’s prestigious new Critical Care hospital called on Eco Environmental Services expertise to overcome a growing bird problem.
Crows living around the site were picking up the large pebble ballast and mistaking the pebbles for food, dropping the stones from great height in an attempt to open them.
Some of these stones fell onto the extensive glass atria on the site causing expensive damage. Fortunately this was the only type of damage from the falling stones, with no injuries prior to Eco installing...

What was the problem?
We at Eco are seeing more and more commercial roofs having stones/pebbles laid over the top of a new roof to act not only as ballast for the roofing surface but to also provide a solar covering to the roofing material to protect and extend its life span. Here the seagulls are mimicking their natural behaviour with shells where they pick them up and drop these shells from a...
Eco Environmental were recently called upon by the managing agents to offer advice and a solution to the ongoing pigeon issues reported by the residents at Berkley Square, Plymouth.
