Carbon Management
At Groundwork Merseyside, we believe that we all have a responsibility to make positive changes, such as improving our energy efficiency and waste management practices. Our carbon management services are designed to help businesses and the public sector reduce their carbon dioxide emissions, which typically also leads to cost savings.Key local stakeholders, such as local authorities, primary care trusts and housing associations, will be required to monitor their carbon dioxide emissions and to seek to reduce these to help tackle climate change and to make their contribution to regional government targets for carbon reduction.
Businesses also have an important role to play and are coming under increasing legislative, economic and environmental pressure to reduce their carbon footprint and identify opportunities for environmental improvement. If you are serious about taking positive action, Groundwork Merseyside can help you to calculate and reduce your carbon footprint.
Our consultants will visit your site and conduct a full review of your building and working practices. This forms the basis of the carbon footprint assessment and enables us to calculate the direct impact of your business on greenhouse gas emissions. We can then make recommendations in areas such as energy efficiency, waste, water and staff and business travel to help you realise financial savings and demonstrate your improvement actions.
We will also engage your staff to help them embrace and understand the low-carbon lifestyle, both at work and at home, and then we will offer to help your suppliers reduce their carbon footprints. In doing this, we will put in place an action plan to minimise your business`s impact over time and include information and advice on green energy suppliers, renewable technologies and the available grants and loans, where appropriate.
Reducing emissions not only saves your business money, it also helps you to win more business when tendering through your low-carbon credentials.
