This exciting new statutory requirement incentivises reducing energy use now and we recommend embracing it. As part of your organisations drive to ensure lower future energy costs and a good public profile the CRC is a useful tool. So if your organisation uses over 6,000MWh of electricity (about £500,000 per year) you could expect having to purchase carbon allowances over 7% of your energy spend unless you make improvements.
