The DS Smith Group of companies holds a unique position in the UK market. Supply of packing is possible through DS Smith Packaging whilst DS Smith Recycling provides the collection infrastructure to recover packaging from the waste stream after its use. This recovered packaging (and other fibre grades) provide the raw materials used in production by the groups paper making operations, DS Smith Paper.

By utilising the groups own transport division recycled cardboard packaging can be supplied at one end of the supply chain and collected and recycled at the other end – providing a unique closed recycle loop scenario.
