Chemicals of Conern Removal Studies
It is tempting to assume that if an oxidant is consumed, it must be reacting with the chemicals of concern (COCs), but this is not necessarily true. Similarly, addition of a carbon substrate does not guarantee that a COC will be biodegraded.

PRIMA has conducted hundreds of studies to determine whether a given remediation technology can destroy COCs present in site soil and groundwater site. Tests have been conducted on “off-the shelf” technologies to ensure that site materials do not adversely affect removal, on new technologies to be sure they work as advertised, and on unusual COCs for which effective treatment technologies have not been established.
