Problem Formulation: Step one is working as close as possible with our client to identify the challenges they face, while consulting industrial partners in a similar field to secure the most comprehensive understanding of the situation.
Brainstorming
Once a clear picture of the situation is achieved, our team begins researching solutions; which can result in a simple variation to existing technology, or a completely new idea. Our team will consider multiple solutions and may even lab test more than one of them.
Lab Testing
When a practical solution based in solid principles presents itself, a series of lab experiments is designed to test it; generating qualitative and quantitative data to confirm, or refute, the efficacy of our solution. Depending on the results, we may revise and try again.
Field Deployment
After successful lab trials, we examine, then select, appropriate sites with our client for field trials of the solution. The first several field implementations of any new project require a greater degree monitoring and data collection, to ensure everything is progressing according to plan. All pertinent information is shared with the client to grant confidence in using the solution elsewhere.
