Cold Cutting (Subsea and Surface) Services
We supply a variety of pneumatically operated surface cold cutting machines. The cutters come with dual tool posts and the pipe can be cut and bevelled simultaneously, which reduces operational time. Internal or external `J` or `V` chamfers can be achieved with correct tooling installed. If multi-well batch setting operations are being completed and providing the `landing string` can be rough cut and retrieved back to surface, all surface cold cuts can be completed `off-line` allowing the rig to continue with other on-going operations. As the surface cold cutting machines are pneumatic no hot work permits are required for their use. This allows them to be used within zoned areas. The cutting machines are relatively light in weight and easily installed providing suitably trained R7M personnel are present.
The standard cold cutting machines can cut pipe diameters of up to 36" (914.4mm) and larger capacity machines are available depending on requirements.
Full back up systems are supplied along with a comprehensive installation and spares kit. All systems are installed and operated by experienced, dedicated and professional fully trained Offshore Service Engineers.
Along with surface cutters, R7M supplies various hydraulic subsea cutting systems where ROV`s or Divers are required for their installation and use. These systems are supplied with surface running equipment where competent and fully trained personnel are utilised for these specialised operations.
