The “scientific round-table” is a structured process for evaluating divergent viewpoints on scientific and technical issues in environmental conflicts. It has been developed and used by this consultancy for managing information conflicts involving environmental issues. The scientific round-table adopts a joint fact-finding approach for evaluating the scientific issues in dispute. The round-table involves scientific professionals who have been nominated by competing sectors, or coalitions, to the conflict to represent them at the round-table.
