Human Resources

Our most valuable assets are our employees. We employ year-round construction crews with a very low turnover. In addition to the skills and knowledge to build parks and other public works/landscape type projects, our crews have developed specialty skills in the restoration field that include knowledge of soil bioengineering techniques (e.g. proper willow harvest and installation, material requirements and structure installation), revegetation techniques (e.g. browse control methods, and irrigation scheduling), and stabilization and restoration techniques (e.g. hand grading and rock placement, hydroseeding, and erosion control blanket installation).

Hanford ARC operators have specialized skills for restoration projects, using heavy equipment to perform exacting tasks in sensitive environments. These personnel have operated equipment and completed restoration work in anadromous fish spawning streams, alpine streams and meadows, seasonal and perennial wetlands, vernal pools and rare and endangered plant habitat.

The majority of our field crews have served 5 to 25 years with Hanford ARC.

Hanford Applied Restoration & Conservation is a licensed general engineering (Class A) and landscape contractor (Class C-27) specializing in the field of ecological restoration and natural resource conservation.
