-
What cleaners are better and why? (This answer might surprise you!)
-
Can daily cleaning of high touch surfaces really be the critical link to a safe work environment?
-
Is there a way to verify that a surface has been effectively cleaned?
-
What is the recommended testing method to verify cleaning? (Not all options are the same.)
-
Are there disinfectants that interfere with cleaning verification testing?
-
If you need expedited cleaning verification testing, which disinfectant should you use? (A commonly used disinfectant does not allow for expedited verification testing.)
We can help you answer these questions and make sure your business or school is prepared to handle your building disinfection the right way. Call us today to speak with one of our experts: (800) 508-8034.
KERAMIDA’s team of professionals are standing by to provide Rapid Deployment Disinfection of indoor and outdoor spaces. Our procedures are designed specifically for elimination of SARS-CoV-2 virus, the cause of COVID-19. The chemicals we use are approved by the United States Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) as effective in the destruction of SARS-CoV-2 structure and infectability.
Effective COVID-19 Disinfection
-
Our methodology targets the main encapsulating structure of the Coronavirus particle, literally causing it to fall apart and disintegrate.
Safe for Building Occupants
-
The chemicals we employ for disinfection services are safe for building occupants in the same day.
-
The process includes no lengthy ventilation phase or dangerous personnel exposure concerns.
Frequent Touchpoints & Ongoing COVID-19 Disinfection
KERAMIDA is able to perform disinfection of electronic equipment, including keyboards and other frequent touchpoints. If ongoing disinfection is desired due to internal or public-facing frequent touchpoints or other needs, KERAMIDA is prepared to provide frequent, focused disinfection which targets these areas.
Employee Training for Ongoing COVID-19 Disinfection and Verification Testing
As a cost-effective solution for ongoing COVID-19 disinfection, KERAMIDA can provide training to your existing or in-house cleaning personnel on the proper disinfecting protocols to follow. Our professionals can also provide training to your staff on proper sampling techniques in order to conduct COVID-19 disinfection verification testing. KERAMIDA can provide oversight and reporting management for verification testing.
*NEW: COVID-19 Disinfection Verification TestingWe are able to test directly for Coronavirus itself as a means of verification of disinfection.
As experts in indoor environmental decontamination, we provide Coronavirus cleaning verification testing using surface swabbing and microbiological analysis. Our disinfection methodology has been demonstrated effective and employs practices approved by the CDC. For clients looking for an additional demonstration of effectiveness, this extra step of disinfection verification ensures that your occupants are safe.
Direct identification of SARS-CoV-2 Virus by reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR).
-
This methodology is designed to identify presence or absence the causal virus of COVID-19. Turn-around-time for this analysis is approximately 96 hours.
Additional Disinfection Verification Methodologies:We offer two additional methodologies that we can use to test for verification of disinfection:
-
Surrogate testing for presence of viable bacteria.
-
This methodology utilizes environmentally available bacteria as a surrogate analog for coronavirus. Turn-around-time is approximately 3-6 days depending on the organisms recovered. This test does not deliver instantaneous results, but does provide kingdom or genus level identification of the organism(s). This test is best used to verify methodology to be employed for cleaning, not the true presence or absence of coronavirus.
-
-
Instantaneous evaluation of surfaces for chemical markers of microorganism presence.
-
This methodology provides users with relative quantification of microorganism activity in order to verify effectiveness of disinfection activities. This test delivers instant results, but does not identify the type of microorganism, if any are present. This test is best used to verify methodology to be employed for cleaning, not the true presence or absence of coronavirus.

Using KERAMIDA`s proprietary FastTrack and Streamliner systems, we can develop and implement a fully documented Management System ready for registration in 3-4 months. We have developed software to facilitate the design and implementation of EHS procedures and offer site-specific systems integration for clients with systems already in place.
We serve the EHS-MS needs of domestic and international clients from many sectors, including automotive, cast metals, chemicals, plastics, power generation, cities and universities. Our expertise in the areas of industrial processes, sustainable development, green technologies, pollution prevention, material substitution, regulations, and EHS compliance and management allows us to design management systems that provide our clients with cost effective management tools.
KERAMIDA`s knowledge and experience in EHS management systems, and understanding of the requirements of ISO 14000, OHSAS 18000, Responsible Care (RC), Responsible Distribution Program (RDP), Coatings Care and other management systems, enables us to customize management systems and better serve the needs of our industrial clients. Our firm`s seven qualified EMS Lead Auditors and strong alliances with ISO 14000 Registrars assure a smooth and cost-effective ISO registration process for our clients.
KERAMIDA`s FastTrack program creates a certifiable and complete EMS, designed specifically for your organization.
About FastTrack EMS
KERAMIDA`s FastTrack program is designed for organizations interested in reducing environmental impacts while increasing operating efficiency.
Our professionals will develop your EMS during four to six days of on-site sessions working alongside your key personnel. Upon conclusion of the program, your organization will have a complete ISO 14001 EMS ready to implement.
KERAMIDA began its FastTrack program in 2000 and most recently developed 24 EMSs in 6 months during 2009 under a federally funded grant program. Grantees included manufacturers in various sectors and utilities & municipalities.
KERAMIDA`s FastTrack EMS Program:
- Provides on-site EMS development assistance from KERAMIDA staff
- Identifies the environmental aspects/impacts of your operations
- Requires minimal internal resources and interruptions
- Recommends methods to improve compliance and manage risks

How Can You Benefit?
EMSs can result in both business and environmental benefits. Maintaining an EMS can help your organization achieve the following results:
- Improve environmental performance
- Enhance compliance
- Prevent pollution and conserve resources
- Reduce/mitigate risks
- Attract new customers and markets (or at least retain access to customers and markets with EMS requirements)
- Increase efficiency
- Reduce costs
- Enhance employee morale and possibly enhance recruitment of new employees
- Enhance image with public, regulators, lenders, investors
- Achieve/improve employee awareness of environmental issues and responsibilities
In order to benefit from FastTrack, organizations should:
- Be willing to commit four to six key personnel from management, human resources, purchasing, maintenance and engineering, to no more than six days of on-site working sessions
- Assign an EMS Management Representative who will maintain the EMS long-term and coordinate on-going training, documentation, audits, management reviews, and changes to the EMS
