Corrosion Protection
We can arrest steel corrosion within concrete, with protection that can last up to and beyond ten years.When concrete structures leak, there is often a secondary hidden problem occurring beneath the surface; namely, corrosion of the reinforcement. Our new innovative resin; P5CI, combines the advanced high performance of our leak sealing polyurethane resins, with a proven vapour phase corrosion inhibitor, which can be used to control water ingress and protect the reinforcement that has been in direct contact with leak water.
The technique can be used in a large number of locations, such as:
- Bridges
- Tunnels
- Multi-storey Car parks
- Listed Buildings
- Residential Housing
The product, also available in tablet and Gel form, provides both short and long-term protection of steel reinforcment.
Once installed, the corrosion inhibitor will migrate through the pores within the concrete structure as a vapour, chemically bonding to the embedded steel reinforcement to provide long-term and effective anti-corrosion benefits.
Whilst this product stops further corrosion it will not reverse any that already exists.
