Working amidst this diversity, our professionals are acutely aware of the importance of cultural heritage for current and future generations. Cardno helps communities to preserve their cultural heritage and, as needed, helps protect cultural heritage from the adverse impacts of project activities so that indigenous communities remain strong. When conducting environmental and social impact assessments, Cardno’s team often includes anthropologists or sociologists with a background in local cultural heritage issues. In Afghanistan, Cardno created a dialog to build support for activities, which included integrating women into project interventions.
