The factors of degassing and pressure maintenance are of the utmost importance for the smooth and long-term stable operation of a heating system. The Olymp Heating Water Controller HC is the ideal solution for this. Free and bound gases or air bubbles that enter the heating system during filling and via system components are removed again using the unique venting process in the Heating Water Controller.

The principle: When you open a bottle of mineral water, it makes a "hissing" sound and gases escape. Simply put, the heating water controller works according to exactly this principle. All aggressive and disruptive gases are removed from the heating system - even from extremely unfavorable areas.

The 5 functions:

  • Expansion:  compensates for the expansion of water
  • Automatic pressure maintenance:  constant pressure within the fixed limits 
  • Refills:  compensates for water losses (leakage-monitored)
  • Degassing / venting:  supports facility management
  • Desludging:  by relaxation in the storage tank

  • The Olymp HC can be used in all closed hot water heating and cooling systems STB up to 120°C according to EN12828.
    Note: In district heating systems, the return water from the district heating network can be used as make-up water (max. temp. 95°C)
  • Use in cooling and air conditioning systems:
    The OLYMP HC can also be used for closed cooling systems with or without antifreeze. The materials used are cold-stable and condensate-proof. Cooling systems with water-glycol mixture (up to 40%) up to a temperature of -5°C.
  • Mod-BUS-capable control. Service with PC app possible. Connection to the building management system with graphic function display on the computer display and much more.
  • Options and special programs available on request:
    solar version, version with double pumps, master slave installations, version with refill tank for treated water (glycol, ...), special tanks, low-temperature systems and much more

  2. Injector at the inflow:
    Allows gases to escape and at the same time removes low-gas water (stripping) = low-gas refilling 
  3. Maintenance-free container:
    The storage container made of polyethylene PE is completely neutral for all materials in the heating system and also has a very long service life. In addition, the container is excellently insulated with soft foam and 100% pressureless on the inside. This means that it is not subject to pressure vessel guidelines. 
  4. No pre-heater vessel is required to reduce the temperature to 100°C.
    Advantage: No energy wasted! By installing high-quality solenoid valves, which are suitable for an inlet temperature of 100°C, no pre-heater vessel is required. In this way, we make a major contribution to the sustainability of your heating or cooling circuit system. 
  5. Long-term stability:
    Industrial control with sensor technology and solenoid valves for constant pressure over years. 
  6. Rough venting program: 
    A rough venting program with interval venting is available for commissioning.

The HC N top-up unit automatically refills water (water/glycol) into the heating, cooling or solar system when the pressure drops. 
The integrated float valve automatically refills the container. The 20 liter container can also be used for filling if, for example, inhibited water (water/glycol) is to be filled. The HC N top-up unit can be used in combination with existing pressure-maintaining devices such as diaphragm expansion vessels and automatically refills the water. The top-up also works when the fresh water pressure is below the heating system pressure. The HC N Duo top-up unit has a higher flow rate thanks to the second pressure pump.

HC E – degasser.

The HC 9E degasser can be integrated into the heating or cooling center or into a single line.  Degassing takes place permanently with an adjustable time program. Several HC9 E degassers can be used in one system. The HC9 E degasser also works in combination with existing pressure maintenance systems and can be retrofitted at any time. The permanent degassing process reduces gas corrosion and increases the service life of the system. Malfunctions caused by gas accumulation in heating surfaces are eliminated.

HC S – Solar.

The heating water controller specifically for solar systems.
The robust design without a membrane enables use in high temperature ranges up to 100°C inlet temperature. The extended switching hysteresis ensures that the working range of the solar system is used optimally. The expansion tank makes it easy to refill during maintenance without a separate filling pump.
