For Ontario employers, we will help ensure that you comply with Ontario Regulation 490/09 (Designated Substances), which requires an assessment to determine whether workers’ health may be affected by exposure to a designated substance like lead, silica, mercury, isocyanates and asbestos. If the assessment finds that workers’ health may be affected, a control program is required to protect workers.
