Dredging Services
Owned and operated by Industrial Environmental, Inc., mobile hydraulic dredging equipment is fitted with a 6` to 10` submersible pump to accommodate a variety of sludge properties when dredging active ponds or impoundments within a variety of industry sectors and demanding environments. Capabilities include treating or limiting the amount of effluent from the dredging operation prior to discharge to further protect our customers from liability resulting from discharge violations. To limit turbidity of the dredging effluent, silt curtains and booms are utilized for further environmental control. Operators use only sheenless, bio-degradable non-toxic hydraulic oil in our fleet of hydraulic dredging and submersible equipment.
Our fleet of floating hydraulic dredges engage cable and winch conveyors to move across permanent ponds for precise material removal operations while maintaining or decreasing TSS levels. Material characteristics will determine how far the dredge will pump the material. Thousands of feet of pipeline can be fitted to transfer material to designated holding areas. If the pumping distance exceeds the dredge capability, booster pumps are then added to move the material to meet any change in elevation challenge.
Innovative dredging equipment allows us to work in environments with aggressive characteristics, from abrasive materials to existing chemistry. We have successfully dredged and treated materials ranging from bottom and fly ash, oily waste, mill scale, carbine lime, sewage sludge and refinery waste.
Our strong commitment to safety is evident by the fact that our EMR (Experience Modification Rating) ratio remains .86 for the past three years.
