Online DSE Assessments
Online DSE assessment systems offer a simple and effective way of gaining compliance whilst maintaining control of costs. We provide guidance on a range of computer based assessment and e-learning training tools in order to help you select and implement a system suitable to your needs. We can also provide expert support and supplement your online DSE assessment programme through specialist issue resolution services and risk mitigation projects.
We provide company-wide programmes and one-off individual assessments. These take the form of simple structured assessments that are completed during a short interview between an assessor and employee carried out using the telephone, a video conference tool or through an onsite visit.
During the assessment training and guidance is provided on areas of risk and actions to take to manage these risks and resolve any issues that are identified. At the conclusion of the assessment, a report and action plan is left with the line manager to equip them with tools and guidance for assisting their employees and managing their DSE needs.
Our most in-depth assessment offering provides a holistic assessment focused on understanding the employee’s needs through task analysis and questioning. Part of the assessment process involves dedicating time to understand any physical limitations of employees and how they affect their ability to complete daily tasks.
Upon completion of the assessment, the employee and line manager can be provided with a verbal brief on the findings, which is followed up by an in-depth written report detailing what training has been provided at the point of the assessment. Recommended solutions will also be included within the report together with the inclusion of an Action Plan incorporating suggested milestones to help manage the situation to a positive outcome within a measurable timescale.
If you feel that the effectiveness of your current DSE assessment programme is waning then our workshops are ideal at reenergizing the workforce and improving levels of engagement, increasing training and assessment completion rates and improving overall employee wellbeing. In small groups we provide a 60 minute insight into the importance of sitting well and provide the group with tips on what they can do to their workstations to help reduce the risk of musculoskeletal disorders. These workshops are an excellent way to deliver “suitable and sufficient training” as part of a proactive Health & Safety Management System.
