Flatiron has constructed many of North America`s signature infrastructure projects, including the first suspension bridge built in 35 years, another segmental bridge that utilized the largest precast segments in the world, the continent`s three longest cable-stayed bridges, the world`s first stress-ribbon bridge, and many more.
Flatiron engineers develop innovative construction methods using cofferdams, trestles, floating concrete tubs, scaffold, formwork, trusses, and gantries. We lift, lower, push, and erect massive elements using a wide range of methods, equipment and materials. From complicated critical crane picks using land-based cranes and floating cofferdams to synchronous raising and lowering, cofferdams and stiff-legged derricks, Flatiron`s engineers derive solutions for any complex scenario.
