Kier Construction`s Engineering team provides engineering designs, technical advice and support to clients within the Kier Group and beyond.Kier`s specialist engineering business is here to assist project delivery in a safe efficient manner and has supported many of the Group’s engineering successes, providing innovative solutions often saving time, materials and money without compromising safety or quality.
Our output covers a broad range of civil and structural permanent works design, all types of temporary works, land surveying, and the provision of specialist advice on temporary works, geotechnics, concrete technology, and materials selection and testing. Kier engineers are available to investigate construction problems and report on the causes and possible solutions.
Our engineering team is especially conscious of costs and delays caused by poor design, so we always aim to provide a service in tune with the needs of the site.
The majority of our staff have experience working on construction sites and well understand the needs of contractors. We have around 15 Chartered Members of the ICE or IStructE and an equivalent number working towards their membership. We currently have more than one office and more are planned. Kier Construction’s engineering team operate a quality assurance system, which is registered with BSI and are IiP accredited.
