Propipe is a technology company that is leading the design and development of pipeline pig, pipeline pig tracking and pipeline plug technologies. Over 20 years of design, pig testing and development has produced a range of pipeline pigs and these are enhanced with the pig tracking equipment from our Trident range – this includes the revolutionary APEX Above Ground Marker, EM Transmitters, SMART Gauge Technologies and DeepBlue Subsea ROV Receiver.

Owner-operated since 1998, Propipe produces custom designs of pipeline pigs and also pipeline isolation plugs that are built to match (or exceed) the expectations of clients. Pipeline plugs are manual or hydraulic and can be installed by ROV.

The future of pipeline pig tracking is Trident, developing digital technologies for the pipeline industry.

UK Facility

The company has four factory units at its site in Hartlepool, with two manufacturing plants, a separate fabrication facility and a unique all-weather testing plant, for piggability testing and product development. As well as pipeline pigs, the company also manufactures pipeline plugs delivered through the company Proplug. Both Propipe & Proplug products are engineered and managed through the same project teams out of the UK facility.

Canadian Facility

Located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Propipe North America is the development centre for world class pig tracking and communications technologies. Design, Manufacture & Test facilities provide the capability to turnaround a broad range of products. In addition, the company provide underwater acoustic products for real time processing and autonomous deployments within the ocean science sector.
