Envirofil - Recycling Services

ENVIROFIL PCC is a new, innovative recycling technology that allows papermakers to recover mineral pigments from deinking residue by converting these raw materials to ENVIROFIL PCC. The ENVIROFIL process has the ability to substantially improve waste paper yield, mitigate solid waste disposal costs and reduce the environmental impact of the deinking process. The process addresses important sustainability challenges that paper mill customers face. Currently up to as much 50,000 tons of recovered pigments can be used in a SMI PCC Satellite plant producing ENVIROFIL PCC in place of standard PCC.
