Beckmar`s analytical staff routinely performs microbiological tests as well as organic and inorganic chemistry on water supplies. The laboratory`s services include sample collection and analyses for coliforms, metals, TTHMs, VOC`s and nuisance organism identification.

Beckmar personnel also perform wastewater NPDES sampling and analyses, DMR`s (Discharge Monitoring Reports) and pretreatment analyses for industry. The laboratory is actively involved in evaluations of sludges, solid wastes (RCRA), TCLP and leachates.

Beckmar Laboratory is one of a few Kentucky-based laboratories offering biomonitoring and toxicity studies using in-house reared fish (Pimephales sp), water fleas (Ceriodaphnia sp) and algae. TRE`s (Toxicity Reduction Evaluations) and TIE`s (Toxicity Identification Evaluations) are also offered.
