Application for the issue of assessing the need for environmental assessment: Time for preparation - 3 days; Period for delivering a judgement by the EC - 30 days. Preparation of information under Article 8, paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Ordinance on procedures for conducting environmental assessment of plans and programs (if necessary) Time for preparation - 7 days; Period for delivering a judgement by the EC - 60 days.

Preparation of EC:

  1. Having consultations with the competent authority about the range of the EC - RIEW/MEW, specialized agencies and the affected community to determine the range of the EC - 20 days.
  2. Developing a report for the EC and Compliance Assessment Report with Protected areas - if required -30 to 60 days.
  3. Public announcements of the EC and the plan / program and a report to the General Assembly for a legal opinion - 14 days.
  4. Public discussion on the EC and the plan / program, if required according to SPA-14 days.
  5. Decision on the Environmental report and the Ecological Opinion report by RIEW /MEW-90 days.

Total period for the procedure from 120 to 230 days.

This term for the procedure is the minimum required for the legislationon of EIA.
