Environmental Assessments
C2 REM’s methods include:
- Assessing available environmental data from public and private sources.
- Quantifying potential site risks and the need for intrusive studies.
- Performing intrusive studies (i.e., Phase II Assessments) as necessary to evaluate liability and potential health risks.
- Evaluate the findings against identified development objectives and provide criteria to determine feasibility of the project.
C2 REM’s broad knowledge of the regulatory process at the federal, state and local levels as well as our extensive experience in engineering and environmental sciences allows for rapid assessment of the potential environmental impacts and the remedial options that will be most effective.
Our clients receive a comprehensive risk/ cost tolerance analysis and guidance at every step and decision point (see Environmental Assessment Logic Diagram below). For Superfund Sites, we develop focused assessments of technically applicable and cost-effective alternatives to determine the technology that meets Applicable or Relevant & Appropriate Requirements (ARARs) and other aspects of the 40 CFR federal regulations as they pertain to the 9 criteria required by the National Contingency Plan (NCP). For other Sites, we apply these same principles to achieve “risk based corrective actions”.
