Enzygo’s staff have acted as environmental co-ordinators on a number of Environmental Statements for a range of projects and businesses including; infrastructure projects, retail and leisure developments, housing schemes, mineral and waste project and energy projects. Environmental Regulators have increased their requirement for a coordinated approach to environmental planning and the provision of SEA, EIA, Sustainability appraisals and due diligence.

Enzygo’s landscape team contain experienced environmental consultants who manage and undertake environmental impact assessment work, taking responsibility for managing the delivery of a range of services including SEA, EIA, sustainability appraisals and due diligence. With responsibility for effectively managing and delivering environmental project work within given timescales.

In addition to liaising with clients and stakeholders the role involves the co-ordination and management of the wider environmental team.

Enzygo have experienced staff that manage and co-ordinate multi-disciplinary teams as part of the planning process, including the coordination of the following assessments:

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)

Where an EIA is required under Schedule 1 and 2 of the EIA Regulations 1999, Enzygo will coordinate the preparation and submission of the planning application and accompanying environmental statement to the local Divisional Planning Office.

Strategic Environmental Assessment

Coordination of the SEA process to ensure that all significant environmental effects arising from policies, plans and programmes are identified, assessed, mitigated, communicated to decision-makers, monitored and that opportunities for public involvement are provided, in accordance with European Union EU Directive 2001/42/EC.

Due Diligence

Enzygo coordinate environmental due diligence appraisals, a critical component of any property transaction, which identifies and where possible minimizes potential environmental risks and reducing client liability.

Sustainability Appraisals

The co-ordination of Sustainability Appraisal (SA), which are mandatory under the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004, promoting sustainable development through the integration of social, environmental and economic considerations into the preparation of revisions of Regional Spatial Strategies (RSS) and for new or revised Development Plan Documents (DPD) and Supplementary Planning Documents (SPD).
