A further advantage is our EIMS as a totally automated system for data processing, backup, email alerts, scheduled reports, monitoring schedules and management. Once monitoring schedules are created, users can see what data has been received as well as when data is due to be collected and when data is outstanding. The system can also proactively send reminders and warnings to users according to data status and settings. The records held on Diana can be accessed remotely on any computer using the internet with data being virtually available in real time.

In addition, by eliminating the need for paper, it provides a green solution to the problem of record keeping.

MoEF vide office memo No J-11013/41/2006-IA.II(I) dated 6th April 2011 has stipulated additional conditions that all mega projects proponents should:

• Carryout continuous stack emission and ambient air quality monitoring and maintain continuous records
• Based on the monitored data, take necessary corrective measures to ensure that levels are with permissible limits
• Upload the monitoring results on the website of the company in the public domain and updated in real time
• Upload six monthly monitoring reports on the website of the company and also update regularly
• Submit monitored data to the respective state pollution control boards /UT PCCs and the regional Office of MoEF
