Environmental Laboratory Services
We at BECPL is having well furnished Water, Air, Solid waste and Microbiology Laboratory in about 500 square meter area. We have highly qualified, trained and experienced personnel working in our well–furnished Laboratory with sophisticated equipment such as Gas Chromatograph (ECD, NPD, FID), Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy, Flame Photo meter, Spectrophotometer, PM2.5 & PM10 Samplers, High Volume Air Samplers, and Stack Gas Monitoring Kits. The Laboratory consists of following sections.
Water and Waste Water Analysis Section
(A) Physico-chemical analysis
Gas Chromatograph (GC) (Thermo Fisher Model No. CERES – 800 PLUS) for Quantitative and qualitative analysis of pollutants such as pesticides, Polynuclear aromatic hydrocarbon (PAH’s), Polychlorinated Biphenyls (PCB’s), Dioxins & Furnaces, Benzene, Toluene, Xylene etc. Some of these compounds are very toxic and carcinogenic at very low levels and requires precise instrument such as GC having low detection limits.
We have AAS (Thermo Fisher Model No. AA201) for Quantitative and qualitative analysis of aqueous heavy metals such as copper, arsenic, boron, mercury, zinc, lead, nickel, manganese, etc.

- Microbiological examination of potable water
- Microbiological observation of activated sludge
We have applied for the recognition of “Environmental Laboratories under The Environment (Protection) Act, 1986” from Ministry of Environment & Forests. We have already applied for QCI approval from National Accreditation Board for Education & Training. We are schedule II Environmental Auditor from Gujarat Pollution Control Board.
