The NOVA environmental team applies its knowledge of federal and state regulations, technical skills, and analytical abilities to provide innovative solutions to its Clients’ complex environmental challenges. We partner with our Clients to ensure that the environmental aspects of their on-going operations comply with applicable regulations and permit conditions. We also routinely prepare permit applications for new and modified commercial and industrial facilities that involve working closely with both Client and regulatory agency personnel, and participating in or leading public stakeholder outreach activities. Further, NOVA’s environmental professionals closely track rulemaking proceedings and newly adopted rules and assess their business risk and applicability to its Clients’ operations. This allows development of cost effective, value-added, technically sound, fact-based strategies to identify, evaluate, and manage the Clients’ multimedia environmental compliance challenges.
NOVA offers more than preliminary evaluations of environmental impairment to real property. Environmental studies frequently identify conditions that could be interpreted by regulators in various ways. Our professional staff maintains a current understanding of the local regulatory preference regarding site closure strategies including remediation and alternative closure pathways. Such an understanding is particularly useful when real estate transactions must be accomplished within rigid time frames and review of specific site conditions by regulators is not possible. The NOVA team prides itself in outside-the-box thinking to solve its Clients’ unique challenges within the context of the applicable regulatory framework. Further, we fully understand the importance of the liability and confidentiality issues often associated with our Clients’ unique environmental challenges.
The NOVA environmental team has experience working on a wide variety of commercial, residential, academic, and government projects as well as diverse types of industrial and manufacturing facilities, including:
