Environmental Site Assessment and Remediation Services
At Skelly and Loy, we have designed an Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) process in order to provide appropriate inquiry of previous ownership, operation, and condition of a property prior to its purchase and to ensure that the assessment is conducted in accordance with the most recent version of the American Society for Testing Materials (ASTM) Practice E 1527 entitled Standard Practice for Environmental Site Assessments: Phase I Environmental Site Assessment Process. A Phase II ESA is recommended when environmental conditions identified during the Phase I require additional studies to evaluate the existence, type, and extent of surface and/or subsurface contamination.
Our Phase II ESAs are conducted in accordance with the most recent version of ASTM Practice E 1903 entitled Standard Guide for Environmental Site Assessments: Phase II Environmental Site Assessment Process. Should the results of the Phase II ESA show that unacceptable contamination exists, Skelly and Loy can easily implement corrective actions designed to remediate the site to acceptable levels. Remediation can then result in a release of liability, successful property transaction and development, or safe reoccupancy/reuse of the site.
