Environmetal Equipment Design

The “NTT Group - Green Design Guidelines for Building” were defined and put into effect before the Comprehensive Assessment System for Building Environmental Efficiency (CASBEE) came into being. Furthermore, with the introduction of the “Green Integration” concept, we aim to realize environmental efficiency and cost efficiency through our comprehensive approach to environmentally aware buildings, equipment and energy. One achievement derived from this approach is “ACORDIS”, an air-conditioning installation for ICT devices. This installation received recognition for its design, which incorporates the resourceful use of natural energy, and its system architecture, carefully designed with resource recycling in mind, and received the Prize of the Architectural Institute of Japan in 2006 (Building Engineering Division). The proposals we submit to our clients offer equipment design with excellent economic efficiency while also incorporating environmental requirements.
