Erosion Control Services

SHARE

TRI was the first laboratory accredited by the Geosynthetics Accreditation Institute (GAI) in the early 1990s and continues to maintain and grow an impressive range of accredited test method capabilities. TRI’s Denver Downs Research Facility is the leading independent lab for large-scale testing of Erosion Control Products (ECP) and Sediment Retention Devices (SRD). In recent years, TRI has added accreditation for a growing number of erosion control products (ECP) and sediment retention device (SRD) test procedures, as well as, AMRL/AASHTO accreditation for an increasing number of geotechnical tests.

TRI’s laboratories are operated in accordance with the corporate Quality Management System. This system includes rigorous requirements for every aspect of operations from equipment calibrations and the use of internal reference materials to personnel training and up-to-date standard operating procedures. Both in-house audits by the corporate quality manager and periodic independent audits associated with maintaining accreditations are included in the Quality System.

TRI employs trained technicians, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and the necessary equipment for all standardized test methods, and many non-standard test methods. All standard test methods can be run at any time. Typically, index testing can be completed and reported within one week of sample receipt (depending on existing workload). Bench-scale and large-scale testing turn-around also depends on lab workload, but is typically 6 to 8 weeks, including report issuance.

EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL AND STORMWATER MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
TRI is unequaled in implementing test methods to assist clients with product characterization.

TRI provides laboratory conformance/verification testing as well as performance related studies for erosion control products. In addition to routine index testing in accordance with ASTM, ISO, BS, DIN and GRI test methods, TRI also provides bench scale indicator tests, and large scale performance tests. TRI’s state-of-the-art large-scale facilities at Denver Downs Research Facility (DDRF) make it the only independent commercial laboratory offering such a wide array of performance testing capabilities.
