Ensured Efficiency and Flame

Flare stacks are used to burn off waste gas byproducts, contaminated gas (i.e., sour gas or highly oxygenated tank vapors) or flammable gasses released by pressure relief valves. An inefficient or malfunctioning flare stack can release methane and other contaminants directly into the atmosphere resulting in fugitive emissions and create potential worksite hazards to people and equipment.

Depending on the jurisdiction, federal, state and/or EPA regulations may require the monitoring of a flare stack’s flame or the pilot flame to assure no raw hydrocarbons are released to the atmosphere.

Using SENSIA infrared imaging cameras, flare stacks can be monitored in real time with the optimal level of sensitivity for each flare in the camera’s Field of View. If a non-optimal situation is detected, an alarm is generated over all your devices and logged.

The Encino Difference - Visual Flame Confirmation
