All our gas detectors come with the required accessories and are calibrated prior to shipping. We offer:
- Multi-point portable gas detectors for H2S, SO2, CO2 and LEL
- Single-sensor portable detectors for H2S
- Stand-alone portable H2S / LEL monitors
- Personal H2S and/or SO2 monitors
- Air horn kits
- Wireless fixed continuous gas detection for H2S and LEL
- Equipment from a range of manufacturers: BW Technologies, Biosystems and Draeger
Benzene Gas Detection
- Used for pre-tank entry during petrochemical plant maintenance, hazardous-material response, marine spill response and refinery downstream monitoring
- Results available in seconds and accurate to 0.1 ppm
- Internal pump allows for deep sampling up to 30 feet into a confined space
Low-Level Alpha, Beta and Gamma Detectors
- Portable units to detect alpha, beta and gamma radiation with four linear ranges reading 0 to 3000 milliRoentgens (mR) per hour for the internal detector
- Instrument features an internal scintillator to detect low-level gamma radiation and can use an external probe through front-panel switch
Equipment Rental and Service
Manufacturers and government regulators dictate that gas detection equipment undergo regular calibration. As well, daily bump testing is also required. HSE’s technical services department is qualified to service all makes and varieties of gas detection equipment. To protect workers and ensure compliance, HSE provides:
- Technical support
- Periodic calibration and inspection
- Suitable calibration gases
- Accessories for accurate bump-testing and calibration
- Rentals of all varieties of monitors
H2S / LEL Hardwire Multipoint Systems
- Four- or eight-channel continuous monitoring system used most commonly to detect LEL and / or H2S levels
- System uses 110-volt power and includes 150- to 300-foot sensor cables
- Other sensors to detect carbon dioxide (CO2), sulphur dioxide (SO2), carbon monoxide (CO) and ammonia, as well as oxygen deficiencies upon request and availability
- Low-and high-alarm values can be reset as required for the required gas detection with configurable alarm points
- Fixed systems designed for continuous, long-term multi-location monitoring
Rig Rat H2S / LEL Wireless Multipoint Systems
- Monitoring systems designed for high humidity or extreme environments with low drift rate
- Standard setup includes four or eight stand-alone H2S / LEL (lower explosive limit) detector units
- Central control panel with AC/DC power capabilities
- Independent battery-powered detector units
- Operates on coded radio signal transmissions and linked to central controller
- All sensitive electronics meet military and industrial specifications
- Rugged cold-rolled steel housings
- Approved by Canadian Standards Association (CSA) and Underwriters Laboratories (UL)
- Response time of less than eight seconds to full alarm
- Low- and high-alarm visual light bars coordinated to each of four sensors; and upper and lower alarm levels can be customized to site requirements
