Geotechnical services

Geotechnical services are required prior to construction of manmade appurtenances to determine if soil conditions can support the foundation of a given structure. A combination of mechanical soil drilling/rock coring to log the soil/bedrock strata at the site to a given depth is combined with actual laboratory testing of specific soil or rock core samples obtained from the boreholes. Laboratory testing may include Atterberg Limits, bulk density, bulk modulus, compaction, stress, strain, shear and a variety of other characteristics as may be needed to plan and design proper foundations.
