Kier’s specialist geotechnical expertise is deployed on projects from the interpretation of soils investigations to the design of major earthworks.We encourage our civil engineers to develop a broad range of engineering skills. In particular, we consider it important that these skills include both structural and geotechnical fields so that our engineers fully understand the interaction of structures with the soil.
A significant asset that we offer clients is the consideration of alternative and value-engineering designs that provide savings of cost and/or time. And crucially we are able to give unbiased views when considering techniques and technologies.
