- We identify the reasons why you want to produce a GHG Inventory. Is this for mandatory reporting schemes, voluntary reporting programs, for energy reduction purposes or to satisfy external stakeholders?
- If you want to report into a voluntary or mandatory scheme, we then help you to determine the correct protocol to use (TCR, WRI, GEI). This decision is based upon your location, your markets and other business strategies and requirements.
- Once we have determined the best protocol, CICS will work with you to define boundary conditions for your GHG inventory including whether to be a full or transitional reporter, the scope of the inventory (should the whole of your organization be included/part of it/your value chain) and your control.
- CICS will then collect or assist your team in the collection of necessary data on emissions sources and identify any gaps in data.
- GHG emissions, based on this data, will be quantified by our experts.
We will then help you to report your GHG emissions inventory to a voluntary or mandatory scheme or create a GHG Inventory document that can form all or part of your sustainability report. - With emissions verified, we can then work with you to identify energy reduction opportunities.
The final product is a complete, verifiable carbon inventory of your corporate emissions that will comply with voluntary (TCR, WRI) or mandatory (EPA) reporting. Your GHG Inventory will also serve as a baseline and benchmark for current and future carbon management and energy reduction efforts and can be shared with interested parties, for example, by being built into your Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report.
