EDP act to undertake a health and safety audit review quickly and professionally. However, at the core of our approach is the belief that health and safety audits and reviews are only as helpful to our clients as the degree to which they’re understood.  So our commitment is to help our clients understand the risks and issues highlighted, as well as develop a planned approach to address risks, respond to opportunities, embed change and empower people to care about the health, welfare and safety of their colleagues.

One such example of the industry-relevant audits we provide is for construction. The aim of the Construction Site Health and Safety Audit (CSHSA) is to provide an independent audit of a contractor’s on-site health and safety procedures and/or processes, including compliance with legislative requirements, industry best practice and a Contractor’s own Occupational Health & Safety Management System.

This will help clients to demonstrate that they are complying with their legal duties, and will assist with shifting the focus of attention onto the importance of establishing a solid culture of care on construction projects and managing health and safety on construction sites; with everyone looking after each other to create an workplace where people are passionate about safely delivering a first-class product.

It should be emphasised that the CSHSA is not a legal requirement but is an appropriate means for clients and contractors to demonstrate compliance with their legal duties.
