Hydroblasting Services
Hydroblasting or high pressure water blasting is an effective and common cleaning method used in routine cleaning maintenance in manufacturing environments. Hydro blasting is used in plant cleaning or factory cleaning. High pressure water is applied to the necessary application. The water-stream and can vary from narrow to be used for cutting to a broad stream used for moving (the material).First Environmental utilizes water pumps with pressure from 10, 000psi - 20, 000 psi, with water flow rates of 22 gallons to 38 gallons per minute. Water pumps of 5,000 psi steam are also offered.
First Environmental uses primarily a manual “shotgun” method for water blasting, which consists of an operator manually holding the “gun” and applying water to the area requiring cleaning (floor, walls, tank interiors, etc.).
FEN also performs automated cleaning. For the right application, tanks can be cleaned by using tools only and without entry (confined space entry) of personnel.
Also used for cleaning and removing material from pipe interiors is a flexible lance. Tips added to a flexible water line push water forward and the high pressure cuts and moves debris / material while high pressure water “shoots” backward, thus moving the water line further into the pipe.
