Keeping costs down and having predictable revenues is essential for small hydro producers. That is why HYDROGRID offers an all-in package for the optimal sale of power at highly competitive fees especially designed for small run-of-river power plants.
PRECISE HYDROLOGICAL MODELLING & FORECASTING OF EACH PLANT
For each plant, HYDROGRID carries out a detailed hydrological assessment and implements a sophisticated and continuously updated inflow forecast model based on meteorological data and machine learning technology. This allows us to estimate power production with the highest possible accuracy, resulting in a reduction of imbalance costs and accelerated cash flow to our customers and helping them to meet the challenges of the increasingly volatile power markets.
LEAN MARKET ACCESS
Based on our generation forecast, we will access all relevant power markets (e.g. Nord Pool and EPEX spot exchange) to enact the physical sale of power in the optimal and cost-efficient way (including sale of green certificates). All necessary power market operations, including the billing & margining with the power exchange, scheduling of production with the transmission system operator (TSO), the settlement & clearing of imbalances are carried out for you on a daily basis as a full-service package at a fixed price that is competitive even for the smallest power plants.
COMPETITIVE IMBALANCE MANAGEMENT
As an optional add-on, we also offer taking over your imbalance risk at a fixed competitive price based on our precise forecasting models.
