Hydrovac Excavation
Offering modern solutions with state-of-the-art equipment resulting in increased safety, effectiveness and productivity. Before you dig, consider your excavation options. With HIS Constructors non-destructive hydrovac excavation services, it is our mission to safely and efficiently remove soil around buried utilities and underground structures. Our hydro excavation process combines pressurized water and a powerful 6000 cfm positive displacement blower system, which allows us to excavate in the toughest conditions, including through frozen ground.
Applications include:
Line Exposing
- Visual confirmation of buried lines
- Service/splice pits
- Directional drilling test holes
- Cathodic anode installation
- Pipeline and utility crossings
- Subsurface utility engineering-quick way to observe & record depths/locations of buried utilities for mapping/future construction. Pre-construction S.U.E. has shown significant cost savings by eliminating accidental line breakage, unexpected utility relocation, environmental disasters and community impact
Pole Holes:
- Utility poles
- Traffic signals
- Traffic signals
- Sign posts
- Pole removals/replacements
Trenching & Slot Trenching:
- pipeline tie-ins
- investigative slot trenching
- installation slot trenching
- drain tile trenching
- line fault repair
Piling holes:
- Compressor station & facility expansions
- Pilot holes for friction piles
- Spread footing piles
- Well monitor installations
Debris Removal & Cleanouts
- Road and box culverts
- Tree stump removal
- Manhole cleanouts
- Material removal from inside structures, buildings and tanks
- Bore mud removal
Benefits and Advantages
Remote excavation up to 500 feet from the unit
- Inside buildings, congested areas, no damage to landscaped areas. More cost effective than hand digging. Up to 10 x faster
Onboard water heater
- Excavate through frost and frozen ground for year round service
Visual confirmation of buried utilities and obstructions prior to starting a project
- Increased efficiency and productivity with an emphasis on safety.
- Eliminates guess-work and hidden dangers giving a clean line of sight and minimal ground disturbance for reduced restoration costs.
Safety
- Osha approved soft dig method. Accepted where mechanical excavation is not allowed.
- Plant and Facilities Projects-no worry about expensive downtime due to line strikes, especially when working around high-pressure lines and in congested areas.
- Reduces need to have workers enter dangerous excavation areas or confined spaces.
Experience
- Our hydrovac team has a combined 40 years of experience.
