Company History

EHSI was formed in 1996 with a focus on environmental health and safety. In 2001, the owner retired and the company was purchased by Mr. Larry Toimil, who was Principal at the time. Under his leadership, the company has experienced steady growth and expansion. Revenues and profit margins have steadily increased year after year along with the number of personnel. The company currently has more than 30 employees and is planning to hire more professional staff in the upcoming year. Over the past several years the firm has expanded its service areas and market sectors served.

Headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, the majority of our projects are located in the Greater Puget Sound region. We also frequently perform work throughout Alaska, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington and manage projects in other areas of North America for our clients and partners.

EHSI is a Washington State certified Small Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) (M5M6818039) and federally certified Small Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) under the US Small Business Administration 8(a) Business Development Program. In addition, we were recently certified by the Washington State Department of Transportation as a DBE after the firm demonstrated strict compliance with federal Department of Transportation requirements. The new DBE status makes the firm one of only a few minority or woman-owned environmental health and safety companies certified by Washington DOT.
