Applying a suite of wastewater treatment technologies ranging from membrane separation to biological treatment, Sembcorp has the expertise to integrate these technologies into a seamless system, managing and customising the processes to effectively treat wastewater of different profiles. With the technical expertise and operational scale in treating multiple streams of complex industrial wastewater, Sembcorp can treat all types of wastewater directly from source, without the need for any pre-treatment on the part of our customers.
Sembcorp owns and operates facilities capable of treating high organic concentration industrial wastewater with chemical oxygen demand of up to 19,000 milligrammes per litre and high salinity industrial wastewater with salinity of up to 50,000 milligrammes per litre. We are also the developer, owner and operator of China`s first facility treating high concentration industrial wastewater without pre-treatment required by customers. This facility in Zhangjiagang, Jiangsu Province was conferred Honour Awards in the International Water Association`s Global as well as East Asian Regional Project Innovation Awards 2010.
We also provide an extensive range of industrial water products including demineralised water, industrial water, raw water, chilled water, cooling water, seawater cooling and firewater. We currently serve multinational companies as well as local enterprises on Jurong Island in Singapore. We are also a major provider of water and wastewater treatment services in key chemical sites in China, such as Nanjing Chemical Industrial Park, Shanghai Chemical Industrial Park, Tianjin Lingang Industrial Area, Qinzhou Port Economic & Technological Development Zone and Zhangjiagang Free Trade Port Zone.
With our capabilities and track record in water reclamation and desalination, Sembcorp also produces and supplies high-quality industrial water from brackish water and seawater.
