It states that the System of the organisation to which it has been awarded has been subjected to the evaluations and controls established in the certification system and that AENOR has obtained sufficient confidence in its compliance with UNE-EN ISO 14001 Standard.

The new UNE-EN ISO 14001:2004 standard establishes a series of changes and improvements over previous editions that can be grouped into five key elements:
