Kessel Wastewater Treatment Services
A wastewater treatment system is required for all properties not connected to the main sewerage system, usually relevant to rural areas and those surrounded by large private land areas.
Wastewater Treatment is a Legal Requirement
Activities within a household with the potable water supply usually lead to contamination, such as after use in the kitchen, bathroom and toilet. The water is likely to come into contact with foreign particles, organic substances and household chemicals.
As a result, untreated wastewater represents a risk for humans, animals and waterways, and therefore must be contained and treated before being released back into the environment.
Kessel Wastewater Treatment Systems from Source One Environmental are an ideal solution.
Our tanks treat domestic wastewater using the 100% biological SBR (Sequential Batch Reactor) technology - an eco friendly alternative to many systems in the marketplace.
How SBR Works
The treatment method exploits the cleaning properties of micro-organisms in the wastewater. These are found within a sludge layer in the septic system, and known as ‘activated sludge`. During the treatment phases, the wastewater is mixed with this enriched activated sludge and aerated. The wastewater is serving as a source of nutrients to the micro-organisms, and the water is therefore cleaned naturally.
This SBR technology is widely acknowledged to have the most effective cleaning performance. In addition, these systems are the most economical to operate.
