Laboratory Analyses
The specialist environmental monitoring and reclamation activities of the EDF Fenice Environmental Services Centre (ESC) are supported and integrated by analysis laboratories specialised in the evaluation of chemical agents and physical agents.Around 100 technicians and researchers, almost 40% of whom are scientific graduates, operate at the Rivoli (Turin) and Pomigliano d`Arco (Naples) sites, which are equipped with sophisticated, state-of-the-art recording and analysis facilities.
The laboratory quality system is ACCREDIA accredited in accordance with the UNI CEI EN ISO/IEC 17025 international standard for tests and analyses of waste and drinking water, industrial waste, soils, sludges, sediments, ambient air and also products and raw materials intended for technological use.
All analysis activates are organised in product lines and managed by teams of specialists with specific expertise and latest generation instrumentation, making it possible carry out any type of analytical investigation very quickly and with maximum reliability.
The ESC draws on specific competence acquired in the field of regulatory, scientific and technological issues not only to make available its experience to customers (providing technical-scientific assistance services, legal advice and training) but also partnering academic bodies and institutions in specific environmental research activities.
