Landfill Design Services
Our experience includes landfill siting, design, operation and filling plans, and closure plans. We have assisted clients in locating and evaluating landfill sites, and understand the need to consider public and stakeholder acceptance, access, leachate control and treatment, aesthetics, and economics.
Using state-of-the-art, three-dimensional digital terrain mapping, we engineer landfills and leachate collection systems. Our designs include landfill operation and filling plans, considering schedule and plans for supply of cover material. Our full-service team provides landfill closure plans that consider cover design, landfill gas management, and environmental monitoring. We are familiar with government criteria for landfills for municipal solid waste and requirements for permits and approvals.
Leachate treatment can mean either ensuring that it can be treated at the local community wastewater treatment plant or designing and constructing a purpose-built leachate treatment plant. Associated Engineering has done both, including pilot testing and design of leachate treatment processes to serve unique treatment requirements.
