Leak detection with TÜV-certified dogs

The Sniffers is specialised in pipeline inspections. We use TÜV certified leak detection dogs that are trained by us to detect gases, hydrocarbons and oil substances far lower than ppm-level. Dogs are even smelling parts per billion, there where most sophisticated equipment can only measure parts per million. Leak detection with special trained dogs is not only very accurate, but also faster, which means a lower cost for the customers.

But not just any dog is eligible. Our dogs are subjected to a long and constant training to meet the strictest criteria from TÜV. Together with TÜV we have set up multiple leak detection simulations in a natural environment. We are proud to announce that our dogs with their handlers passed the test, resulting in a TÜV certificate for the individual dogs as well for the method of training. This is unique in the world and once more showcases the very high standard of our dogs and handlers. 

Case Study

 The Sniffers has checked thousands of kilometres of cross country underground hydrocarbon pipelines during the years. Crossing mountains higher than 1000 meters, conquering the alps, rivers, highways and suburban areas is no problem for our four footed friends. They have the ability to scan a wide zone for leaks, which increases your detection rate.
